CFS Transportation provides non-emergency medical transportation for seniors and individuals with medical needs throughout San Diego County. We are currently hiring full-time drivers in North County who are reliable, compassionate, and ready to serve their community.
Drivers at CFS are independent, dependable, and focused on providing great customer service. You’ll be helping people get to the care they need while creating a positive experience for every passenger.
To be eligible for this position, you must be 21 years or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S. You must have a valid California Class C driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in California. A clean driving record is required. All drivers must pass a criminal background check, a DOT-level physical exam, a TB Skin test, and a drug screening (which includes testing for marijuana).
As a CFS NEMT Driver, your day will begin with a safety check of your vehicle and equipment. You'll follow scheduled routes using GPS and stay in contact with dispatch through a company-provided phone or tablet. Your main responsibility is to safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments. This includes helping passengers in and out of the vehicle, assisting with mobility devices, and operating a wheelchair lift when needed.
The job requires the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and the ability to kneel, sit, and stand for extended periods regularly. You must be able to follow GPS navigation, use a mobile apps on a tablet, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude with passengers and staff. Being a team player while also working independently is important in this role.
This is a full-time, 40-hour role requiring consistent availability Monday to Friday. Pay for this position starts at $19.00 per hour, NEMT drivers receive a $1.00 pay increase annually.
