Join Our Team as a Restaurant IT Technician!
Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for the hospitality industry? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Restaurant IT Technician to join our fast-paced team and support our amazing restaurant locations! In this vital role, you’ll help ensure that all our technology systems operate smoothly and efficiently, making every dining experience delightful for our guests.
What You’ll Do:
- Tech Support Hero: Provide technical assistance for restaurant hardware like POS systems, printers, kitchen display systems, routers, tablets, and payment terminals. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our tech running smoothly!
- POS Whiz: Perform programming tasks for menu updates and limited-time offers (LTOs), including changing prices, adding/removing items, and configuring discounts in Toast and other ordering channels.
- Connect the Dots: Troubleshoot connectivity issues like internet outages and network instability. Your problem-solving skills will be key in getting our systems back online for any situational instances.
- Install and Maintain: Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment as part of ongoing upgrades and improvements to keep our technology fresh and functional.
- Support Our Teams: Assist restaurant teams with software issues related to POS applications, inventory systems, and back-office software, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.
- Monitoring & Escalation: Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and escalate to the appropriate vendors or internal teams when necessary.
- Network Management: Help manage network and cable setups, including running cables, labeling, and basic network configuration to keep everything organized.
- Stay Secure: Ensure compliance with IT standards, security protocols, and data protection practices across all our locations.
- Document Everything: Keep track of issues, solutions, and IT asset information to maintain accurate records of your hard work.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with operations, management, and other departments to identify technology needs and provide proactive support to enhance our overall operations.
- Help Desk Support: Assist with help desk tickets related to desktop support, network issues, or hardware failures to ensure everyone gets the help they need quickly!
Who You Are:
- You have 2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industries.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Knowledge of Toast is a plus!)
- You possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that make you the tech hero we need.
- You have experience supporting restaurant network setups and resolving connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are your forte—you love helping others!
- You can work independently in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure.
- Flexibility to provide occasional after-hours or weekend support when needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting restaurant POS and back-office systems.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and helpdesk platforms.
- Basic understanding of network setup, routers, and switches.
- Awareness of data security and PCI compliance standards.
