Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment. This role involves working closely with young children (ages 3–5), supporting daily activities, and helping ensure a positive learning experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in daily classroom instruction and activities
- Supervise and engage with children in the classroom and on the playground
- Help prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Assist with lessons in areas such as Bible, Language, Math, Science, and Art
- Provide support to individual students and small groups
- Use positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques
- Help with snack time, transitions, and daily routines
- Communicate professionally with staff and assist with parent communication as needed
- Step in to support or lead the classroom when the lead teacher is absent
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 units in Child Development preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous preschool or childcare experience preferred
