The Role
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to enhance Lumen Digital's financial planning and performance management capabilities. In this key leadership position, you will integrate financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting into a unified business perspective.
The ideal candidate will possess robust financial expertise, experience with digital or consumption-based business models, and the capacity to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights that support executive strategies.

Main Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Digital Economics:
- Design and maintain driver-based financial models aligning product strategies, pricing, and customer usage with revenue, margin, and overall business performance.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
- Assist in developing business cases and investment analyses, linking expenditures to growth, margin, and payback timelines.
- Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning:
- Lead essential elements of forecasting and budgeting, including assumption development, financial modeling, and executive reporting.
- Establish and uphold a consistent planning process that correlates commercial activities (pipeline, installs, usage, retention, pricing) with financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment of plans with operational drivers and strategic goals.
- Performance Management & Variance Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth variance analyses comparing forecasts to actual results and identifying key performance drivers.
- Provide continuous insights into risks and opportunities, along with actionable recommendations.
- Support ongoing enhancements of financial procedures, reporting, and controls.
- KPI Development & Reporting:
- Define, implement, and manage a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with overall business objectives.
- Create and present regular performance reports and dashboards for leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance of KPI definitions and data sources.
- Business Partnership & Decision Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams like Product, Sales, Customer Success, Corporate Finance, and Strategic Network Planning.
- Deliver financial insights and analyses to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, concise presentations tailored for executive communication.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, or performance management.
- Experience with digital, SaaS, or usage-based business models is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to create and manage comprehensive financial models and business forecasts.
Skills:
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar) is beneficial.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, particularly in presenting analysis to senior leadership.
- Adeptness at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role varies by location, with individual pay determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
- $132,232 - $176,310 in various states including AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY
- $138,844 - $185,124 in states such as CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
- $145,456 - $193,940 in states like AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
