Position Overview Reporting to the President, the Accounting and Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role manages daily accounting activities, supports budgeting and forecasting, coordinates audits, and implements systems to streamline financial processes. The Manager serves as a key financial advisor to the President and provides guidance to staff on financial operations. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash receipts, credit card transactions, and journal entries. Prepare month-end and year-end reconciliations, financial statements, and reports for leadership and stakeholders. Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition, GAAP compliance, and adherence to federal and state regulations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning; provide analysis to guide strategic decisions. Coordinate external audits and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls. Monitor cash flow, investments, and lender reporting requirements. Implement and train staff on financial systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Mentor and collaborate with finance team members, promoting efficiency and professional development. Perform other finance and accounting duties as required to meet organizational needs. Qualifications: Bachelor degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred. 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel; experience with financial management software required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Hands-on experience managing audits and preparing financial analyses. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly. Detail-oriented, ethical, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
