Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our oral care manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of oral care products in compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing, and a solid understanding of batch processing and packaging of liquids and semi-solids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production teams during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor daily production targets for mouthwash and toothpaste lines, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or issues.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, OSHA).
- Lead setup, operation, and cleaning of manufacturing and packaging equipment used for liquids and semi-solids.
- Maintain accurate batch production records and ensure traceability of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation of the production area.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production operators and line workers to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Enforce safety policies and participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ensure adequate inventory of raw materials and packaging components for scheduled production.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a personal care, cosmetic, FMCG, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of batch mixing, filling, capping, and labeling operations, particularly for liquids and semi-solids.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDA, ISO 22716 (GMP for cosmetics), and OSHA standards.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours as needed.
Preferred Skills (not required but a plus):
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Experience with automated filling lines and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems
- Working knowledge of OEE, KPIs, and other performance metrics
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
