Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for commercial properties and facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, professional, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial buildings and facilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, and general building systems
Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance requests
Repair drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, fixtures, and minor carpentry items
Install and replace facility equipment and hardware as needed
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Document completed work orders and report material needs
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Communicate professionally with property managers, tenants, and team members
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial maintenance or facilities maintenance experience preferred
Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and general construction repairs
HVAC troubleshooting experience is a plus
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders when needed
OSHA certification is a plus
