Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist, specializing in Mac environments and Audiovisual (AV) systems for a hybrid role. You will manage Apple hardware, troubleshoot macOS software, Windows OS and maintain conference room AV setups. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset.
This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work model, with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
Mac & IT Support
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Mac and Windows laptops and desktops.
- Manage user identities, access control, and Apple devices using JumpCloud directory services.
- Support administration, access, and troubleshooting for Google Workspace and Slack.
- Provision and troubleshoot software licenses for creative teams using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Resolve network connectivity, VPN, and Wi-Fi issues for remote and local users.
- Onboard employees by configuring hardware and shipping equipment to remote staff. [1, 2, 3, 4]
AV & Conferencing Support
- Maintain office conference room setups.
- Troubleshoot and manage hybrid meeting platforms including Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
- Support live events, hybrid all-hands meetings, and webinars using collaboration tools.
- Manage AV hardware inventory, cables, and adapters.
- Fix audio echo, video lag, and hardware connectivity problems. [5]
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an IT service desk or desktop support role.
- Deep knowledge of macOS, Apple hardware, and Windows OS.
- Hands-on experience administering JumpCloud, Google Workspace, and Slack.
- Experience troubleshooting Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams hardware/software configurations.
- Familiarity with managing Adobe user licenses and installation packages.
- Strong communication skills to assist users with varying technical levels.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification is a plus.
