About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Associate Manager, Retail Marketing to support the execution of omnichannel retail marketing programs across key national accounts. This role will play a critical part in driving in-store and digital retail initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, support sell-through, and deepen retailer partnerships.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing, this role will help manage retailer marketing programs, merchandising initiatives, promotional activations, and cross-functional coordination across Sales, Operations, Creative, Product Marketing, Social, and Ecommerce teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about bringing retail campaigns to life in fast-paced, high-growth retail environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CPG or beauty/wellness retail experience who wants to deepen their expertise in retail marketing strategy, shopper marketing, and omnichannel execution.
Responsibilities
Retail Marketing & Omnichannel Execution
- Support the planning and execution of retail marketing initiatives across key accounts including Target, Ulta, Walmart, and emerging retail partners
- Help scale education amplification through coordination & support of retailer in-store eventing, trainings, and gratis
- Coordinate omnichannel campaigns spanning in-store merchandising, retailer.com placements, paid media support, sampling programs, seasonal promotions, and new product launches
- Manage retailer marketing calendars and ensure all deliverables, deadlines, and campaign milestones are executed on time
- Partner with Sales and marketing teams to support promotional programs, product launches, and retail-exclusive initiatives
- Assist in developing retailer-specific marketing recaps and post-campaign performance summaries
Cross-Functional Project Management
- Serve as a key coordinator between Retail Marketing, Creative, Social, Ecommerce, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on launches, assets, inventory timing, and retailer priorities
- Manage creative asset requests and trafficking for retailer.com PDPs, email placements, paid media, digital banners, and in-store displays
- Coordinate retailer display requests, influencer mailers tied to retail launches, and education and event support as needed
- Help prepare materials for buyer meetings, line reviews, and retailer presentations, including decks, recaps, and product samples
Reporting & Retail Insights
- Support weekly and monthly retail reporting by compiling sales performance, promotional results, and competitive insights
- Track retail marketing performance metrics including sell-through, promotional lift, digital placement performance, and campaign ROI
- Monitor competitive activity, category trends, and shopper marketing best practices within the wellness and beauty space
- Maintain organized trackers, marketing budgets, retailer submission forms, and campaign documentation
Process & Operational Support
- Help streamline retail marketing workflows and improve operational efficiency as the retail business scales
- Maintain displays tracker, promotional calendars, and internal reporting documents
- Support ad hoc retail marketing initiatives and special projects as needed
This Should Describe You
- 2-4 years of experience in retail marketing, shopper marketing, brand marketing, sales support, merchandising, or CPG operations
- Experience supporting national retail accounts such as Target, Ulta, Walmart, Sephora, or similar retailers
- Strong understanding of retail marketing calendars, merchandising programs, promotional planning, and omnichannel retail execution
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
- Comfortable working with sales data, campaign reporting, and retail performance metrics
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly proactive, solutions-oriented, and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment
