Title: Design Engineer

A Designer who will use Solidworks CAD software to create models and drawings to support the efficient operation of the engineering, supply chain and sales functions. An initial assignment who will be evaluated for promotion to Staff Engineer. Flexible work schedule from 7am - 4pm, Mon through Fri.
Initial Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Design and creation of Solidworks CAD models and drawings (GD&T a plus)
• Document management of drawings and technical specifications (physical and electronic)
• Review and accurate interpretation of drawings, specifications and change orders
• Initiate and track Document changes and Design changes
• Other duties deemed necessary
Education and Experience
• Proficient with:
o Solidworks CAD design software required
o Proficient in the use of internet based applications and data sources
o Proficient working with numbers, data and information
• Experience with:
o Machine tools and some experience with electronics is a plus
o Mechanics, hand tools, assembly of precision components, soldering (welding and brazing is a plus)
o Knowledge of office management systems and procedures

Compensation
• Based on relevant experience (initial range of $50K to $70K)
• Eligible for pay increase after Mid-Year or Annual performance review
• Eligible for annual Bonus (subject to overall corporate profitability and individual performance)

Physical and Time Related Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and move approximately 25 lbs.
