ORIC’s clinical stage product candidates include (1) Rinzimetostat (ORIC-944), an allosteric inhibitor of the polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) via the EED subunit, being developed for prostate cancer, and (2) Enozertinib (ORIC-114), a brain penetrant inhibitor that selectively targets EGFR exon 20, HER2 exon 20 and EGFR atypical mutations, being developed across multiple genetically defined cancers. Beyond these two product candidates, ORIC® is also developing multiple precision medicines targeting other hallmark cancer resistance mechanisms. ORIC has offices in South San Francisco and San Diego, California.
ORIC’s People Team is looking for a highly motivated People Operations Specialist to support key initiatives and the day-to-day operations of the People Team. This position will play a crucial role in creating a positive candidate and employee experience and maintaining ORIC as a best place to work for all our team members. This includes supporting the full set of employment lifecycle activities, ensuring a seamless experience for employees, managers, and the People and Payroll teams. The ideal candidate can manage multiple responsibilities and projects effectively and efficiently and is keenly interested in learning and developing in the field of Human Resources.
Job Description
Talent Acquisition (60%)
- Schedule candidate seminars and interviews; create interview agendas and host on-site interviews as required
- Coordinate travel, meals, and candidate expenses
- Create and monitor onboarding and offboarding checklists for completion
- Schedule new hire orientations and new hire company presentations
- Schedule 30 and 60 new hire check-ins
- Document, improve, and maintain scalable processes across the People function (e.g., standard new hire Day 1 agendas, new hire kits, etc.)
- Assist with summer intern program
Rewards & Operations (20%)
- Maintain accurate HR records (i.e., onboard, offboard, employee changes) in a timely fashion across multiple platforms (ADP WFN, Mineral, LinkedIn Learning, Jobvite, SmartRecruiters, Calm, etc.) and maintain employee personnel files
- Maintain internal HR SharePoint site including content such as hot jobs, benefits education and forms, training curriculum tools; ensure user-friendly content organization and accessibility
- Support annual Open Enrollment activities, including implementations/changes and employee communications
- Distribute HRIS reports
- Prepare offboarding documents and process terminations in relevant systems
Employee Engagement (20%)
- Contribute to development and launch of employee engagement surveys; support results analysis and post-survey action planning
- Coordinate bi-monthly employee shares
- Update and edit the monthly All Employee Meeting slides
- Create monthly anniversary certificates for distribution
- Support employee recognition programs
- Coordinate Learning and Development initiatives
- Help coordinate and plan Company-wide and site wide events
- Contribute and participate in Culture Club events
- Gather content, draft, and publish Company-wide bi-weekly Friday Mail newsletter
- Coordinate the People Team’s social media campaigns including our monthly company social media content pushed out to LinkedIn, X, and other sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience is desired. PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related HR experience, preferably in a dynamic Life Sciences environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-organized, detail oriented, service orientation, good follow through. Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Familiarity with HR systems and databases as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly. Prior experience with ADP WFN and applicant tracking systems is desired. Systems implementation experience a plus.
- Understanding of HR best practices and knowledge of US and California employment laws and regulations is desired.
- Prior experience supporting a multi-state employee population a plus.
- Strong Microsoft office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information
The anticipated hourly pay range for candidates based in San Diego is between $40-$45/Hour The final pay rate offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the title, type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
