JOB DESCRIPTION
Warehouse Assistant Manager
Job responsibilities include shipping, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, general warehouse duties and all other duties assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, arrange, organize and ship both domestic and international orders for multiple customers.
• Check all products going out of the warehouse to ensure accuracy of invoices and product count.
• Check, inspect and inventory all components received.
• Ship orders and verify accuracy of orders being shipped.
• Implement Salt-Away’s procedures and Customer’s shipping instructions and routing guides for each order.
• Make schedule for, and pick-up and deliver components and finished product to and from vendors.
• Shipping organization and system management is mandatory.
• Management of warehouse supplies, especially shipping supplies and components needed.
• Maintain accurate records. Must be highly familiar with domestic and international shipping documents.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area is a must.
• Regularly perform truck and forklift maintenance checks and maintain maintenance logs.
• Inventory control
• Quality control
• Create and print packing lists, BOL, UCC labels & other documents for items to be shipped
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years warehouse shipping experience and experience in distribution industry.
• Significant shipping and receiving experience, with a strong knowledge of shipping requirements, FedEx, UPS
• LTL, USPS, palletizing, packaging and processing of shipments online and manually.
• Able to drive a Forklift and company truck (2 axle). No DMV violations for past 5 years.
• Computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, QuickBooks, Email, and Internet.
• Strong analytical skills, and capable of solving issues independently.
• Ability to ensure facility compliance in all aspects of health and safety including government, industry and
• company rules and regulations.
• Must be a self starter and self-motivated. Exceptionally strong leadership, interpersonal and communication
• skills. Must be willing to receive cross-training and execute tasks not defined as typical warehouse duties.
• Must be able to handle pressure and sudden spikes in work load.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds with no physical limitations.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone, verbal, writing, and listening skills. Good grammar skills.
