Scale a High‑Growth Car Wash Platform. We are a successful car wash company on the West Coast, currently operating four locations and preparing to 10x our footprint across the Southwest.
We are looking for a proven Director of Operations to own day‑to‑day performance and help lead our next phase of growth. In this role, you will lead our general managers and site leaders, oversee new site openings and acquisitions, and drive continuous improvement in service, profitability, and culture. You will be responsible for capital equipment upgrades, integration of new locations, and building a high‑performance, “pro sports team” environment for our frontline teams.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop 3–5 general managers and 6-8 assistant managers, overseeing multiple high‑volume sites.
- Improve guest satisfaction scores and operational consistency across all locations.
- Optimize labor scheduling and cost structure while maintaining a strong service culture.
- Plan and execute new location openings, including hiring, training, and launch playbook
- Own integration and performance ramp‑up for acquired sites across the Southwest.
- Build, coach, and retain top‑tier managers; be known as a true “coach,” not just a boss
Who you are
- 7–10+ years leading multi‑unit operations in brick‑and‑mortar consumer services (car wash, auto repair, tires, QSR/fast casual, retail, fitness, etc)
- Experience opening new locations and building teams from scratch.
- Track record of improving KPIs: revenue per location, labor %, customer satisfaction, and retention.
- Hands‑on, in‑the‑field leader who is comfortable on the lot as well as in the P&L.
- Strong coach, recruiter, and culture‑builder; people you’ve led would actively choose to work for you again.
Compensation and upside
- Base salary in the ~$150,000–$200,000 range, depending on experience and impact.
