Description:
San Diego Powder and Protective Coatings is a fast-paced, family-owned sandblasting and coatings facility whom is also a field services contractor in business since 1999. Serving San Diego and Southern California over 25 years with a current workforce of 75+ dedicated employees operating from our 5 acre / 50,000SF facility. We are seeking highly motivated applicants for a Delivery Driver.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
• Primary Work Hours - Monday-Friday 7:00am -3:30pm + Overtime and Saturdays as customer and department demands require.
• Pay Range: $20-22 depending on experience & references

Responsibilities and Duties:
Need a self-motivated, organized individual that is responsible and productive without constant direct supervision. This position involves experience in operating large delivery trucks with 12-20' stake beds. Class C license required with a good driving record. Deliveries include all different types, shapes, and sizes of parts with a variety of strapping needs. The driver will load and unload the truck, by hand or by forklift. Forklift experience is required.
• Forklift Operation, Lifting and Rigging of Heavy Objects.
• Filling out and turning in daily truck and equipment inspection logs.
• Meeting an on-time delivery schedule.
• Having good customer service is a must.
• Cleaning and maintaining inside and outside of trucks.
• General Housekeeping and supply organization.
• Overtime and Saturdays are expected as workload dictates.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be able to pass E-Verify, pre-employment drug test and be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to read and write in English and perform basic math skills.
• Must follow compliance and safety requirements and standards, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.
• Able to positively interact with customers and coworkers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, and occasionally sit, climb or balance.
• Must be able to work in outside weather conditions (hot, cold, wet and/or humid). Most job requirements take place in the warehouses, but some duties are outside the buildings and require lifting/moving of 10-25 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for military base access is a plus.
