Job Overview
The Production Supervisor/Floor Operations is responsible for overseeing daily production activities on the plant floor, with the primary focus on team leadership, accountability, and execution. This role ensures that production runs efficiently by managing personnel, maintaining workflow and addressing issues in real time.
This position serves as the primary leader for production employees and is responsible for maintaining a productive, organized and accountable work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities on the factory floor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor assembly line operations to maximize efficiency and meet production targets.
- Lead and motivate a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a high-performance work environment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment to facilitate material handling, assembly, and equipment setup as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials for production.
Skills
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility with a strong understanding of factory operations. (Food production preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly line machinery and equipment maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
