Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment. As a Line Cook at Motto, you will prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with our recipes and standards while upholding cleanliness and food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and guidelines
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Ensure food comes out to spec in a timely fashion
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
· Follow proper food handling and sanitation standards
· Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
· Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and kitchen team
· Assist in maintaining inventory and minimizing food waste
· Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications
· 1+ year of experience in a professional kitchen (hotel or high-volume restaurant preferred)
· Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for hospitality
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Manual dexterity to carry trays and serve food and beverages.
· Capacity to work in a noisy and busy environment.
