About MAKE Projects:
We’re opening a NEW mission-driven nonprofit café (MAKE Cafe) focused on food, community, and opportunity. Our kitchen is a training ground where experienced cooks work alongside refugee and immigrant students, building skills, confidence, and pathways into the culinary industry. We also have our own urban farm in Mission Valley.
We’re looking for a reliable, team-oriented Line Cook who brings both solid kitchen skills and a collaborative, patient mindset.

What You’ll Do:
● Execute prep and service for a fast-paced breakfast/lunch café
● Maintain consistency, quality, and cleanliness in all stations
● Support and mentor student trainees during daily operations
● Assist with prep lists, inventory, and kitchen organization
● Uphold food safety and sanitation standards
What We’re Looking For:
● At least 1 year of line cook experience
● Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques
● Ability to work early morning shifts and stay organized under pressure
● Clear communication and a positive, team-first attitude
● Interest in mentoring or working in a multicultural environment
