This role will work closely with business and finance stakeholders within the AWS Specialist and Partner (ASP) Organization. We're seeking an experienced finance professional to join a rapidly growing AWS organization. The role will support our Solution Architecture leader and lead key strategic projects involving ASP revenue and P&Ls.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing the models, tools and mechanisms necessary to address business opportunities, drive automation, improve internal controls, and earn trust across AWS Specialist and Partner Organization. This role will dive deep into the business drivers and use a data driven approach to influence business decisions with your findings. This candidate will be responsible for providing cross functional leadership and initiatives, including across other finance and operations teams within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated great attention to detail, a proven track record of building and improving complex financial models, effective written and verbal communication skills, and a strong desire to continuously learn and invent.
Key job responsibilities
• Support planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for AWS Partner revenue streams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Partner P&L frameworks, including fully burdened cost allocations across partner types, geographies, COEs, and programs to drive profitability insights.
• Serve as trusted finance partner to Solution Architecture leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, translating business strategies into financial plans and providing data-driven recommendations.
• Support annual planning cycles, monthly/quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning for business investments and expenses.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Build, maintain, and continuously improve complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and business case development.
• Prepare executive-level financial presentations, business reviews, and deep dives for senior leadership.
• Partner with Business Intelligence, FP&A, FinTech, and business teams to ensure alignment on financial metrics, reporting standards, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead high-visibility strategic projects and respond to urgent analytical requests from leadership with accuracy and speed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
