Join our Ad Sales Financial Planning & Analysis team as we deliver innovative solutions to ambiguous and complex problems on behalf of our customers. We're looking for a Finance Manager with strong project planning, data analysis, and business partnership skills to help deliver key insights that drive strategic decision making.
In this role, you'll coordinate across sales finance, product finance, operations, and business teams to consolidate multiple datasets into cohesive financial narratives. You'll leverage automation to design data pipelines, develop financial models, and perform detailed analysis to set targets that align to the strategic priorities and determine what good looks like for the business. Sales is constantly evolving which means you'll thrive in navigating complexity while bringing simplicity and clarity to drive business growth.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Independently own the sales planning cycle setting targets across locales, products, channels, and verticals
- Design and implement data pipelines that map how products flow based on quota plans
- Act as the primary PoC for Sales Operations, Sales Incentive Compensation, Regional Sales Finance and Product Finance with respect to Planning
- Own the segmentation forecast model completing back-testing and sharing results on a quarterly basis
- Re-design the sales planning process for point-of-sale vs. point-of-delivery reporting
- Drive continuous process improvement through automation, collaboration, and analysis
About the team
Our global Ad Sales FP&A team supports the advertising sales business across all products and locales. We work in partnership with regional sales finance teams, product finance teams, and operations to deliver insights that inform leadership decisions. We own the full P&L which includes reporting on revenue forecasts, operating expenses, headcount, and goals.
What makes our team unique is our ability to tackle highly ambiguous and complex problems, bringing simplicity where needed to move fast. We own the entire planning process which ultimately serves as the foundation for seller incentive-based compensation, making our work critical to the success of the advertising sales business.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
