Position Overview
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading all operational activities across a defined territory, ensuring the efficient production, quality control, and delivery of liquid de-icing products. This role oversees Regional Managers and their associated manufacturing facilities, driving performance, consistency, and scalability across all sites.
This leader will own the full operational lifecycle, from production planning and inventory management to logistics execution and customer delivery, ensuring best-in-class service, speed, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all day-to-day operations across multiple brine manufacturing facilities within the assigned territory
- Lead and develop Regional Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals, KPIs, and operational standards
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across all locations
- Standardize processes across facilities to ensure consistency in production, quality, and delivery
Production & Supply Chain
- Ensure all facilities meet production targets and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Oversee raw material sourcing, storage, and usage to optimize cost and efficiency
- Implement forecasting and production planning based on seasonal demand and customer commitments
- Monitor and improve overall performance
Logistics & Delivery
- Oversee delivery operations including bulk transport, route optimization, and fleet utilization
- Ensure on-time, accurate delivery of product to customers across the territory
- Partner with logistics teams to scale delivery capabilities as the business grows
- Optimize cost per gallon delivered while maintaining service quality
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer expectations
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all facilities and operations
- Implement quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct regular audits of facilities, processes, and outputs
Financial Performance
- Own the operational P&L for the territory, including cost management and margin optimization
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and improve profitability
- Manage budgets for labor, materials, transportation, and capital expenditures
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of operations leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial production
- Experience managing multi-site operations and leading leaders (Regional Managers or equivalent)
- Strong background in supply chain, production planning, and logistics optimization
- Proven ability to scale operations and build high-performing teams
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salary Description $145,000 to $170,000
