DFW Single Family Office, Investment Analyst
Established, Dallas-based single-family office with a diversified portfolio seeks a bright, experienced analyst to join this high-performing investment team and contribute to sustainable long-term growth.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead analysis, monitoring, and reporting on the existing portfolio and potential investment opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing investment memoranda and presentations for the investment team.
• Coordinating with legal counsel and external stakeholders.
• Supporting due diligence and financial modeling for prospective deals.
• Collaborating closely within a small investment team to drive strategic initiatives.
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required, preferably from a top tier program with strong academic credentials.
• CPA, CFA, or other advanced certifications are a plus.
• Approximately 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience in investment banking (bulge bracket or middle market), strategy consulting, Big 4 advisory, endowment/pension investing, private equity, or another family office.
• Will have experience with M&A, Private Equity and/or Venture Capital.
Skills
• Advanced Excel proficiency with strong command of financial statements and efficient construction of three-statement models.
• Expertise in creating clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations for diverse audiences.
• Solid technical foundation in financial analysis, valuation, transaction structuring, and due diligence.
• Hands-on experience supporting full lifecycle transactions, including M&A, buyouts, capital raises, and related analyses.
• Ability to develop strategic insights, recommend actions, and contribute to long-term financial performance across portfolio companies and new investments.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to evolving priorities, and operate effectively with limited structure.
• Proven judgment and professionalism in handling highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and tact.
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and interest in building a long-term buy-side career.
• Flexible, resourceful, and comfortable operating both independently and under direction as needed.
• Possesses a strong intellectual curiosity about investing and a commitment to learning.
• Must be dynamic, a self-starter
