Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Psych care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric consults for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities
• Conduct mental health assessments for conditions including depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, schizophrenia, and mood disorders
• Evaluate cognitive status and behavioral symptoms
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, social workers, and nursing teams
• Develop behavioral management plans to improve quality of life and reduce hospitalizations
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
• Active and unrestricted NP license • DEA license required • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants) or
• Graduation from an accredited NP program
• Preferred: Experience in Psych (training available if not)
• Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
