La Strada Contracting is looking for an experienced Curb Machine Operator with finishing experience to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will have a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm with some overtime and weekend required, consistent with business needs.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, dependent on experience, plus overtime consistent with business needs and applicable law.
Responsibilities
· Enforce OSHA safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols on-site.
· Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on curb machine
· Safely and properly operate curb machine (including starting and stopping engine, and setting up).
· Read grade hubs and set string line for curb machine
· Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
· Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
· Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
· Drive to jobsite following all safety posts and guidelines

· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written)

· Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and soil reports.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for up to 1 hours at a time and up to 4 hours per day, walk on uneven terrain, climb on/off equipment, lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
· Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of equipment maintenance and operation experience.
· Must have a minimum of 10 years of Concrete Finishing experience.
Certifications
· CA Driver’s License is required.
Location
In-person work at various job sites within an approximate 80-mile radius of our Lake Forest, CA, corporate office.
