IT Technician I

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented IT Technician I to join our team. The IT Technician I is responsible for providing first-level technical support to end users, resolving daily IT tickets, and maintaining the organization’s IT systems and equipment. This role works closely with the company’s third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP) for guidance, escalation, and implementation of IT best practices. This role supports the all daily operations at Prosource and reports directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal IT support requests (hardware, software, network, and user access issues)
- Monitor and respond to daily IT tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with users
- Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues including:
- Workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Email, VPN, and basic network connectivity
- User account access and permissions
- Escalate complex issues to the MSP and coordinate through resolution
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including:
- Device setup and configuration
- Account creation and access provisioning
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures
- Support implementation of IT policies, security protocols, and system updates as directed by the MSP
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance tasks
- Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and supplies
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices at the user level
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365 environment
- Networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, IP basics)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
