Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting steps for common technical issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
- Provide first level technical support to end users, including account assistance, system access, and general IT inquiries.
- Monitor system performance and report irregularities or issues to senior team members.
- Support routine system maintenance, patching, and updates under guidance.
- Document work performed, including troubleshooting actions, resolutions, and updates to system records.
- Adhere to established cybersecurity and information assurance protocols to protect system integrity and sensitive data.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and tracking IT equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective and timely IT support across NAVSEA program offices.
Qualifications
- At least 0-4 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- A minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant experience may satisfy degree requirements.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software, fundamental networking concepts, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ certification.
