Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) –LEAD APP INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY/ EP.
Clinical Responsibilities
Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), the PA provides comprehensive patient care. Performs histories and physical examinations; orders and interprets diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies; and prescribes medications and other therapies as appropriate. Educates patients on treatment plans in pre- and post-procedure settings and is responsible for accurate, timely documentation through medical record updates and daily progress notes. Ensures continuity of care across clinic and hospital settings in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Practices in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and in alignment with Endeavor Health Policies.
Leadership Responsibilities
In the leadership role, the PA participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialty standards of practice and supports day-to-day operational management of the service. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, completing timecards, facilitating regular team meetings, and collaborating with the supervising manager to ensure alignment with clinical, operational, and organizational goals. The Lead PA functions autonomously and within interdisciplinary teams, contributing to patient safety, team performance, and a high-quality patient experience. The Lead PA additionally supports quality and performance improvement initiatives and the professional development of the PA team in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
Qualifications:
License: Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
Education: Completion of Master’s level program as PA in specialty area
Certification: ACLS/BLS certification required
Experience: At least 3 years prior PA experience in the subspecialty of Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, or related Cardiovascular Specialty.
Special Knowledge and Skills Required:
Advanced specialty expertise in interventional cardiology, including coronary interventions, complex PCI, structural heart procedures, and TAVR, with sufficient electrophysiology knowledge to support clinical operations, team leadership, and care coordination across both programs
Strong understanding of patient selection, peri-procedural management, and longitudinal follow-up across interventional and electrophysiology services.
Ability to apply clinical and operational knowledge to standardize care pathways, support team performance, and drive quality, safety, and outcomes across the both service lines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in interventional/EP cardiology or a related cardiovascular specialty.
Prior leadership experience or demonstrated involvement in team leadership, operations, or program development is a plus.
Experience working in complex, high-acuity procedural environments.
