Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join our team in our Office Based Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor agencies, CAHEA or CAAHEP
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 5 years) PA experience in cardiology, endovascular surgery, or interventional radiology
- AHA approved ACLS required
Desired Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ working full time in an Advanced Practice role in Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, or Interventional Radiology in the last 5 years
- Specific experience as an Advanced Practice Provider caring for patients with peripheral arterial disease or cardiovascular disease
- Three years’ experience within the last 4 years caring for patients with peripheral arterial disease or cardiovascular disease
- Two years’ experience within the last 5 years caring for the adult peripheral arterial disease or cardiovascular disease population
- Demonstrated knowledge of peripheral arterial disease or cardiovascular disease physiology
- Demonstrates ability to independently manage complex care and a panel of patients in an advanced practice role
- Experience with wound care management and treatment of incision and drainage
- Experience with interpretation imaging and testing modalities such as ABIs, vascular ultrasound, and CT Angiography
- Demonstrated expert analytical skills and ability to prioritize assignments and manage a busy work environment
- Demonstrated clinical leadership as evidence by committees, organization memberships, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in process and quality improvement
