Internal IT / Systems Administrator

Reports to: Ops / Finance / Head of People
About The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Internal IT professional to own day-to-day technology support and help scale our systems as the company grows. This role blends front-line troubleshooting with infrastructure ownership, security, and strategic planning. You'll be the go-to person for employees and a key partner to leadership on IT decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day IT Support
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees, troubleshooting issues across applications, devices, and services. (Windows/macOS, laptops, printers, conferencing tools)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and account issues
- Support cloud-based applications and SaaS tools used across the company
- Act as the primary IT contact for employees at both locations
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Manage and maintain office IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks, conference room AV equipment, and on-site hardware to ensure reliable day-to-day operations across two office locations
- Plan and execute IT setup for new offices, including network connectivity, device provisioning, conference rooms, and local vendor coordination
- Oversee networking, Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity between sites
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and managed service providers as needed
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Set up new hires with hardware, accounts, permissions, and access
- Deprovision users and recover equipment during offboarding
- Document and continuously improve onboarding/offboarding processes
Security & Compliance
- Manage endpoint security, antivirus, patching, and updates
- Monitor and enforce security best practices across devices and applications
- Assist with access controls, MFA, and basic compliance requirements
- Respond to and remediate security incidents as needed
Cloud & Collaboration Tools
- Own and administer Box workspace (user management, permissions, structure)
- Build, organize, and maintain shared folders and workflows
- Support collaboration tools (e.g., email, chat, video conferencing)
IT Asset & Inventory Management
- Track IT assets (laptops, monitors, peripherals, licenses)
- Manage hardware lifecycle, replacements, and refresh planning
- Coordinate purchasing, receiving, configuration, and distribution of equipment
Strategic Planning & Improvement
- Partner with leadership on IT roadmap, budgeting, and tooling decisions
- Recommend improvements to systems, security, and workflows
- Document processes, standards, and internal IT knowledge
- Help scale IT operations as the company grows

Requirements
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of experience in IT administration, system operations, or similar roles in a fast-moving tech environment
- Deep expertise in the Apple ecosystem — macOS and iOS administration, Apple Business Manager, MDM tools (e.g., Kandji, Jamf, Intune), and endpoint security
- Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, identity and access management (Okta, Entra or similar), and SaaS management best practices.Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and SaaS tools
- Experience supporting both on-site and remote users
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and devices
- Comfortable working independently and owning IT end-to-end
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting multi-site offices
- Familiarity with Box administration and cloud file management
- Experience with MDM tools, identity management, or SSO
- Startup or small-company IT experience
- Basic scripting or automation skills
