About Clay
Our mission is to help organizations turn any growth idea into reality.
We see growth as a creative practice, not a formula. Finding and reaching your best-fit customers takes unique ideas and constant iteration. As AI makes execution faster and tactics easier to copy, creativity is the only lasting advantage. We're already helping thousands of customers — including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp — go to market with unique data, signals, and AI research.
In 2025, we raised a $100M Series C backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round — and crossed $100M in revenue.
In 2026, we announced our second employee tender offer in 9 months at a new $5B valuation. We also launched a community equity round, for our customers, agency partners, and club members.
Some things to know about us:
- Our community includes 11,000+ customers, 150+ integration partners, 125+ agencies, 50+ Clay clubs, and 30k members on Slack.
- Our culture is unique inside and outside of work. Our team members are also DJs, activists, writers, clowns, marathoners, skydivers, psychedelic therapists, social workers, and more.

Head of IT @ Clay
We're looking for a Head of IT who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator. You'll own everything from our offices’ wifi and device management to employee onboarding systems. This is a high-impact role with real ownership. You'll be the person who makes Clay run smoothly under the hood.
We're building out new offices and hiring aggressively across every team. We need our internal technology infrastructure to be just as sharp as the product we're building. That means world-class tooling, airtight security, and an onboarding experience that makes every new hire feel set up for success from day one.
If you love making technology feel invisible (in the best way) and want to help hundreds of new Clay teammates start their journey here on the right foot, we'd love to talk.
What you’ll do:
- Own and evolve Clay's internal IT strategy
- Build and optimize new hire onboarding flows so that every person joining Clay (and we're bringing in a lot of them this year) has everything they need to hit the ground running.
- Provision access to new software and tools to employees, collaborate with the security team on access policies.
- Manage office IT needs, including wifi access, office access, conference room video and sound performance - help us build out new offices in NYC, SF, London and beyond!
- Operationalize and maintain Clay's security and compliance programs as it relates to device and office security, in partnership with the security team.
- Partner closely with People Ops, Recruiting, and Finance to ensure that as we scale headcount, our IT infrastructure grows with us.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to improve system performance, security, and the employee experience across our SaaS tools and devices.
- Manage IT vendors and consultants
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on IT governance, emerging risks, and how technology can make Clay a better place to work
What you’ll bring:
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a manager role at a fast-growing tech company
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically; you're comfortable setting the vision and also getting into the weeds you need to
- Deep experience building or improving employee onboarding workflows, ideally at a company scaling headcount quickly
- Strong knowledge of modern IT stacks: MDM, IDP (Google Workspace, Okta), EDR, VPN, DLP, and SaaS application management
- Security-first mindset, with hands-on knowledge of SAML, OAuth, SCIM, endpoint protection
- You communicate clearly and proactively — with engineers, execs, and new hires alike.
- You're excited about an in-person office environment in NYC and want to be part of a team that takes its culture seriously.
Compensation Range: $225K - $275K
