Tier 1 IT Support Technician
Location: Lemont, IL (on-site)
Duration: 6+ months (extensions possible)
Pay Rate : $20/hr - $25/hr W2
Description/Overview: Tier 1 End User Support / Help Desk Technician to join their service desk team. This role will support internal customers with issues regarding user accounts, access and login to computer systems, and other daily user support needs.
Responsibilities: - Serve as a tier-1 point of contact for all user issues, reviewing support tickets and elevating priority to appropriate subject matter experts as needed
- Assist users with account signup, renewal, and reactivation process
- Provide technical support for macOS and Windows users
- Providing users access to projects, groups, mailing lists, and Slack
- Support issues with multi-factor authentication setup
- Onboarding new users
- Updating and tracking user-reported issues from submission to resolution
- Fulfill other IT service catalog requests from internal customers as needed
Key Skills:- 2+ years in a technical support role providing Tier-1 or Tier-2 support
- Direct experience with ticketing software
- ServiceNow preferred
- Basic knowledge of Shell scripting or similar coding experience
- Basic experience working in UNIX / Linux environments
Bonus Skills:- Microsoft Office suite
- Hardware support experience (printers and other peripherals)
