What You Will Be Doing
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 on-site technical support to end users, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely resolution of IT-related issues.
- Maintain current knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, software applications, and industry best practices to ensure efficient and secure operations.
- Collaborate with internal users and teams to install, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software, and systems, providing user training as required.
- Interface with vendors during system outages or performance degradation to ensure rapid and appropriate resolution.
- Perform information security duties, including threat identification, eradication, and the protection of sensitive data.
- Assist in the administration, installation, and upgrade of servers, network systems, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
- Support validation, installation, and maintenance of cGMP systems and infrastructure in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of system-related procedures and standards.
- Evaluate hardware and software solutions to recommend system improvements and efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory records and asset documentation.
- Provide off-hours and on-call support coverage as needed to ensure uninterrupted IT services.
- Assist with special projects, audits, and initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring IT storage and operational areas comply with environmental and safety standards.
- Promote a professional, safe, and collaborative work culture while maintaining compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business continuity and IT department goals.
Education
What you will bring to the table:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in an IT-related field preferred.
Experience
1–3 years of experience providing IT support in a Microsoft-based environment (Windows 7–11, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365).
Experience supporting Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and application troubleshooting.
- Experience in a cGMP, laboratory, or pharmaceutical setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2012–2025, Exchange, Microsoft 365 administration, SAN technologies, and Hyper-V virtualization.
- Experience with ManageEngine, Sophos, DUO, and Acronis solutions.
- Understanding of VLANs, switch administration, and general networking concepts.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safety and hygiene protocols.
