Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator specializing in Double Fork operation to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
Safely operate double fork forklifts and other heavy equipment including cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
Perform order picking using RF scanners and pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against documentation.
Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation; report any mechanical issues promptly.
Support warehouse distribution tasks by organizing inventory, managing materials handling processes, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, update records, and streamline operations.
Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company policies during all operations to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate tasks, improve workflows, and implement safety protocols effectively.
Assist with construction-related tasks or projects as needed that require heavy equipment operation or materials handling expertise.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating forklifts with double forks in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
Valid forklift certification; additional certifications such as crane operation or clamp truck license are a plus.
Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, heavy lifting, and materials handling.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment like cranes or clamp trucks.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment.
Prior experience working with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols.
Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks safely.
