Key Responsibilities
- Technical leadership and strategy:
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and oversee daily IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and support.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Infrastructure management:
- Design, upgrade, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and cloud technologies.
- Manage and secure servers, databases, and other critical systems.
- Oversee hardware and software installations and upgrades.
- Project management:
- Lead complex IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate projects with other departments and stakeholders.
- Security and compliance:
- Implement security protocols and monitor for vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Team management and development:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise IT staff, including hiring, performance management, and professional growth.
- Provide technical direction and training to junior staff.
- Troubleshooting and support:
- Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system malfunctions.
- Provide technical support to end-users and management.
- Vendor and budget management:
- Manage relationships with vendors for equipment and services.
- Prepare and manage IT budgets.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior IT role (e.g., Senior Systems Engineer, Senior IT Administrator).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, system administration, hardware, and software.
- Expertise in areas like virtualization, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often required or preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
