Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedules, and meetings for City Council members. Draft correspondence, remarks, and agenda materials. Assist with technology and other city resources
- Policy and Constituent Relations: Facilitate staff briefings and liaison roles with boards, committees, and commissions. Assist the City Manager's Office with special projects, internal policy development, and strategic planning. Help City Council members understand key issues and interests of constituents
- Communication and Engagement: Triage and resolve constituent inquiries through the City's CRM system and other channels. Represent City Council members at community events as needed. Assist with coordinating town hall meetings and community engagement initiatives
Typical QualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a focus in business or public administration and
four years of professional neighborhood outreach, citizen participation or community development experience.
Strong customer service skills, personal initiative, and problem-solving abilities.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in municipal administration, operations, or program evaluation
- Master's Degree in public/business administration or a related field

Physical Effort: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
