PGS Worldwide is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master) to join our team of talented engineers and problem-solvers working on cutting-edge aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise in embedded C++ development with your leadership skills as a Scrum Master, helping to shape innovative solutions for mission-critical systems.

This is a full-time, on-site position located in one of the following locations:
Linthicum/Annapolis Junction, MD
Northridge, CA
Tucson, AZ

What You'll Do:

Serve as the Scrum Master for a cross-functional team, organizing and facilitating Agile events like stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Remove roadblocks and resolve team impediments, enabling the team to focus and deliver high-quality results.
Advocate for Agile best practices, such as code reviews, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Collaborate directly with the Software Development Team to contribute hands-on expertise in embedded C++ development for real-time systems in aerospace and defense.
Promote a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and proactive issue prevention across technical disciplines and teams.

• Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a technical, engineering-focused environment.
Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
Proficiency using Jira for tracking tickets, managing backlogs, and facilitating Agile workflows.
Ability to facilitate key Scrum ceremonies and foster Agile culture.
Experience in embedded real-time software development, focusing on embedded C++ and VxWorks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to obtain SAP clearance (Special Access Program).
Familiarity with the Atlassian Tools Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
Previous experience with Flight Software development in aerospace and defense programs.
