The PositionRoche Sequencing Solutions, Inc. seeks a Principal Technical Lead Operations at its Santa Clara, CA location.
Duties: Description: Provide guidance to cross-functional teams, provide issue resolution and be the point of contact for technical issue escalations in the Technical Operations. Collaborate with leadership and business stakeholders to support the definition and implementation of operations strategies for Design for Quality and Manufacturability (DQM) and Product Transfers arenas. Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment on product critical design attributes, specification development, process controls, and product quality assessments. Collaborate with the research team to integrate and develop the wafer fabrication processes utilizing their background in Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and semiconductor processing to ensure a robust product line with special attention to design for manufacturability and testing in support of a high production yield. Coordinate development activities in collaboration with the foundries and the Research and Development (R&D) teams to develop high yielding products with processes optimized and qualified for manufacturability. Lead process risk assessments, facilitates critical to quality (CTQ) definition, and scorecard exercises to ensure process controls are in place and process capability has been documented. Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement team to develop and update supply and quality agreements throughout product lifecycle.
Education and experience required: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Science and Technology or in a closely related field and 8 years of experience in job offered or as Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Production Quality Assurance Specialist, or a closely related engineering role.
Alternative education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Science and Technology or in a closely related field and 10 years of post-baccalaureate and progressive experience in job offered or as Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Production Quality Assurance Specialist, or a closely related engineering role.
Special Requirements: Employer requires 3 years of experience in each of the following fields:
- Wafer integration process;
- Counter electrode component;
- Test method development for electronic materials and assemblies,
- Optimize production controls using Six Sigma methodologies;
- Change and Product Risk Management Processes.
Up to 20% domestic and international travel, fully-reimbursed. Telecommuting allowed up to 1 day per week.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Santa Clara, California is from $166,962 and $187,700. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
