Crime Prevention Specialists (CPS) is hiring professional, dependable security officers for a religious campus in Chino Hills. Opportunities include ongoing site coverage and special event assignments for weddings, religious holidays, and community gatherings.
We seek officers who demonstrate sound judgment, strong security awareness, and respectful customer service. Professional appearance, discretion, and respect for religious traditions are essential.
PAY SCALE
Armed Security Officers: $23 per hour
Unarmed Security Officers: Starting at $19–$20 per hour
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
Three shifts provide 24-hour coverage, with a fourth shift supporting campus
operating hours:
Assignment Shift
Day Shift
6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Swing Shift
2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Overnight Shift
10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
Operating Hours Coverage
9:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
The operating hours assignment includes 10 hours of coverage, with two hours paid at the applicable overtime rate.
Special Events: Armed and unarmed officers are also needed for weddings, religious holidays, and other scheduled events.
Event schedules vary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a visible, professional security presence.
Conduct patrols and identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
Monitor entrances, verify authorization, and assist visitors.
Support entry screening, crowd management, and orderly movement during events.
Respond calmly to incidents, use de-escalation techniques, and follow emergency procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and required documentation.
Follow post orders and communicate effectively with campus personnel and fellow officers.
Treat worshippers, families, guests, and vendors with courtesy and respect.
REQUIREMENTS
Current, valid California BSIS Guard Card.
Armed applicants must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit and all credentials required for the assignment.
Strong communication skills, situational awareness, and sound judgment.
Reliable transportation, punctual attendance, and consistent availability.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Ability to perform walking, standing, and patrol duties, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Previous security, special event, hospitality, or religious facility experience preferred.
