Machine Shop Helper. General shop duties. Clean up. Run errands. Deburr parts. Receiving and Shipping. Run shop machines such as bandsaw, drill press, sanders, grinders. Basic operation of CNC Mill, Lathe and Laser Cutter. Must be mechanically inclined. Must be in good physical condition. Occasional heavy lifting. Willing to learn new skills. Excellent opportunity to learn CNC Machining. Your organizational ability will be appreciated. General knowledge of metals, metal finishing and plastics is helpful. Some office skills helpful. Knowledge of local machine shop and processing resources helpful. Welding and fabrication skills helpful. We also have a Mechanical Testing Laboratory. Knowledge of lab testing, fasteners and quality systems will be a great help. Small Shop. Flexible hours - need to extend first shift into the evening to get more machine time per day.
