**Position:** Direct Care Staff / Residential Youth Counselor
### Job Description
OTH is a licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) located in Perris, California. We are seeking dependable, professional, and motivated Direct Care Staff to work with youth in a structured residential treatment environment.
**Current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training/certification is required.**
We are looking for individuals who can maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while providing supervision, guidance, and support to youth with behavioral and emotional challenges.
### Available Shifts
- **Swing Shift:** 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- **Overnight Shift:** 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Full-time and part-time positions available. Weekday and weekend availability needed.
### Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and care to youth in a residential treatment setting.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
- Implement behavioral interventions and de-escalation techniques consistent with CPI training.
- Assist youth with daily routines, activities, and independent living skills.
- Monitor and document youth behaviors, incidents, and daily activities.
- Enforce facility rules, policies, and expectations.
- Respond professionally to behavioral crises and emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinical staff, and team members.
- Complete required documentation and assigned shift responsibilities.
### Qualifications
- **Current CPI training/certification required.**
- Experience working with at-risk youth, foster youth, or individuals with behavioral challenges preferred.
- Previous STRTP, group home, or residential treatment experience preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Strong communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must meet applicable California STRTP employment, background clearance, and training requirements.
### Compensation
**$20.00 per hour**
Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
