Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations for a SaaS or technology-focused organization in San Francisco, California. This role will oversee the close process, maintain accurate financial records, and support audit readiness across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in both public and private accounting environments, along with hands-on experience using NetSuite.
Responsibilities:
Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage general ledger integrity by reviewing journal entries, account activity, and supporting documentation.
Perform and oversee bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
Prepare financial data and schedules required for external and internal audit activities.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen accounting processes and maintain compliance with established standards.
Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and provide guidance to team members on reporting and close requirements.
Use NetSuite to monitor transactions, maintain financial records, and improve reporting accuracy.
Support special accounting initiatives and process improvements as business needs evolve.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
Background in SaaS, technology, or a closely related industry.
CPA - Preferred
Proficiency with NetSuite and strong knowledge of ERP-based accounting workflows.
Demonstrated expertise in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.
Solid understanding of general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Experience supporting financial statement audits in either public accounting, private industry, or both.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and maintain accurate financial records.
