At Snoqualmie Valley Health, we’re not just in the business of healthcare; we’re in the business of empowering our community to live boldly and live well. Our commitment to excellence and innovation calls for team members who will build trust, obsess over excellence, lead innovation, and deepen connections within our community. We are guided by our core values, and we’re looking for someone who can embody those principles as part of our dynamic and growing team.
Located in a trailblazing, adventure-loving town at the base of the Cascades, Snoqualmie Valley Health is an independent public hospital district serving a vibrant community that thrives on both adventure and connection. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of something bigger.
We’re looking for a General Manager to lead two distinct hospitality concepts built around a shared idea: great food and genuine hospitality can bring people together.
Taverna is an intimate, ingredient-driven restaurant and bar celebrating the Pacific Northwest through a modern Italian lens. The menu highlights seasonal ingredients, local farms, Northwest seafood, sourdough pizza, thoughtful cocktails, and food that feels both familiar and unexpected.
Dear Friend is our café and all-day gathering place—great coffee, house-made pastries, approachable food, grab-and-go offerings, and a focus on making quality part of the everyday routine.
Together, the concepts are part of a larger vision from Snoqualmie Valley Health to expand the idea of wellness beyond traditional healthcare and create a place where our community can eat, gather, and connect.
Salary Range: $82,409 - $128,252
The Role
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of both Taverna and Dear Friend while helping establish the culture, systems, and service standards that will define them.
This is a hands-on leadership position. We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable developing managers and reviewing financials as they are stepping onto the floor during a busy service.
You’ll work closely with the Food & Beverage Director, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, and café and restaurant teams to create an operation that delivers exceptional hospitality while remaining financially disciplined and operationally sound.
What You’ll Own
Lead daily FOH and café operations across both concepts
Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and coach a high-performing hospitality team
Establish and maintain service standards for Taverna and Dear Friend
Build a culture centered on hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Manage labor, scheduling, sales performance, and controllable operating expenses
Partner with culinary leadership on menu launches, seasonal changes, events, and guest experience
Oversee beverage, coffee, and bar operations
Maintain strong inventory, cash-handling, POS, opening, closing, and operational controls
Use sales and operational data to make informed decisions and improve profitability
Develop relationships with guests and become an active presence within the Snoqualmie Valley community
Help bring two new hospitality concepts from vision to successful daily operation
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a hospitality leader who understands that great restaurants require both heart and discipline.
You know how to create a memorable guest experience without losing sight of labor, cost controls, training, consistency, and profitability. You enjoy building teams, developing people, solving problems, and creating systems that make operations better.
Experience opening a restaurant, café, bar, or other hospitality concept is especially valuable.
Ideal experience includes:
Restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality management experience
Experience leading high-volume or multi-concept operations
Strong FOH and guest-service background
Working knowledge of restaurant financials, labor management, inventory, and cost controls
Bar and beverage program experience
Hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
POS, scheduling, and restaurant technology systems
New restaurant opening experience preferred
Why Taverna & Dear Friend?
This is an opportunity to help build something from the beginning.
We aren't looking to simply open another restaurant and coffee shop. We're creating concepts rooted in the Snoqualmie Valley—using thoughtful food, local sourcing, hospitality, and community connection to rethink what a healthcare organization can contribute to the people it serves.
Our goal is simple:
Create places people genuinely want to come back to.
If you're excited by the opportunity to build a team, establish a culture, shape two new concepts, and help create a different kind of hospitality experience in the Snoqualmie Valley, we'd love to hear from you.
BENEFITS: We believe in taking care of those who take care of our community. We’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that puts your health and well-being first.
