Educational Assistant
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Educational Assistant to support students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a college based setting.
Job Responsibilities
Support students during classes and campus activities.
Help students stay focused, organized, and engaged.
Assist with note-taking, assignments, and understanding instructions.
Encourage students to communicate with instructors and advocate for themselves.
Help students use approved accommodations and campus resources.
Support students with scheduling, time management, and campus navigation.
Promote independence while providing appropriate assistance.
Document services and student progress accurately and on time.
Communicate professionally with students, families, instructors, and supervisors.
Follow all program policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
30 college units
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Patient, dependable, respectful, and professional.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills, including email and online learning platforms.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned locations, if required.
Ability to pass all required background checks and employment clearances.
Schedule
Full-time positions are available. Hours may vary depending on student schedules and program needs.
Pay:
$20.00 an hour.
