Apartment Maintenance Technician – Mid to Advanced Level | $28–$35/hr DOE
The Apartment Company is hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians to support our apartment communities in [North County / South San Diego County].
Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5:15PM, lunch break 12PM-1:15PM
Our team handles maintenance in-house, including resident work orders, unit turns, repairs, and preventive maintenance. We’re looking for technicians with solid troubleshooting skills who can independently complete a variety of repairs and take pride in quality workmanship.
What you’ll do:
Troubleshoot and complete resident work orders.
Perform plumbing repairs, including leaks, faucets, toilets, disposals, and drain issues.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical fixtures, switches, outlets, and lighting.
Diagnose and repair household appliances.
Install, repair, and replace flooring as part of unit turns and ongoing maintenance.
Complete interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, drywall patching, and texturing.
Complete drywall repairs, patching, texturing, and painting.
Repair or replace doors, locks, cabinets, hardware, and other unit components.
Complete unit turns, making apartments ready for new residents.
Perform preventive maintenance and identify issues that need attention.
Communicate with the property team and document completed work.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and provide courteous service to residents.
What we’re looking for:
Mid to advanced maintenance skills with hands-on experience across multiple trades.
Apartment maintenance experience preferred; relevant residential repair or remodeling experience also considered.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to prioritize daily assignments.
A team-oriented approach and willingness to support a variety of maintenance needs.
