Essential Responsibilities
The General Labor, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, provides general assistance to the mechanic, mechanic helper and project team.
Specific Responsibilities
• Daily cleanup and organization of designated work areas.
• General maintenance of overall facility.
• Clean and store all tools and equipment at end of shift.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Required Qualifications
• Possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn the use of basic tools and equipment relative to the repair of transit buses.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment.
Must be able to:
• Carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of dead weight.
• Climb up and down a ladder.
• Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch and or crawl.
• Twist or turn in confined spaces.
