Position Summary
Intersection Facility Services is hiring an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to handle repairs, suite turnovers, and finish work across office, retail, and industrial properties in San Diego County. This is a hands-on field role for a skilled multi-trade technician who takes pride in clean work, can manage a variety of jobs independently, and can support property inspections and job estimating.
Core Responsibilities
White Shell Finishing & Suite Turnovers
• White shell finishing and preparation — bringing vacant suites to move-in-ready condition
• Drywall — patching, hanging, taping, mudding, and texture matching
• Painting — prep, interior/exterior painting, touch-ups, and color matching
• Flooring installation — LVP, carpet tile, and VCT, including floor prep and transitions
• Cove base installation and replacement
• Ceiling tile installation and replacement, including minor grid repair
• Minor plumbing — faucets, fixtures, toilets, supply lines, clogs, and leaks
• Minor electrical — like-for-like replacement of outlets, switches, light fixtures, and lamps
Inspections & Estimating Support
• Property inspections with clear written reports, photos, and recommended repairs
• Estimating support as needed — site walks, measurements, material takeoffs, and labor time estimates
• Before/after photos and documentation of completed work
• Working professionally in occupied buildings and coordinating with tenants and property managers
Minimum Requirements
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in drywall, painting, and flooring
• Experience working in commercial buildings (office, retail, or industrial)
• Experience with white shell finishing and suite turnovers
• Must bring a set of personal hand tools; a detailed tool list will be provided upon hire
• Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and stand for extended periods
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in:
• White shell finishing and suite turnovers
• Drywall installation, repair, and texture matching
• Commercial painting
• Flooring installation (LVP, carpet tile, VCT)
• Cove base and ceiling tile installation
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Able to write clear, organized inspection reports and job notes
• Comfortable using a smartphone for job updates and photos
• Dependable, self-directed, and professional when interacting with tenants and property managers
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

• $32–$34/hr depending on experience
