Club Pilates is looking for a creative, outgoing and highly organized Community Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to help grow the presence of our four San Diego studios—both online and throughout our local communities.
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk marketing position.
We’re looking for someone who loves meeting people, creating content, discovering cool local businesses, putting together events and finding creative ways to get Club Pilates in front of new people.
You’ll have the freedom to get out into the community, build relationships and help make our studios feel connected to the neighborhoods around them.
What You'll Do
Community Partnerships & Outreach
Build relationships with local businesses, apartment communities, wellness providers, salons, med spas, restaurants, coffee shops, employers and other organizations that share our target audience. Develop creative cross-promotions, referral partnerships and opportunities to introduce new people to Club Pilates.
Events & Activations
Find, organize and coordinate community events, pop-ups, local partnerships, member events and other opportunities for our studios to participate in the community. Help develop an ongoing event calendar across all four locations and attend events when needed.
Social Media & Content
Capture authentic content inside and outside the studios for Instagram and other social channels. Create Reels, Stories, posts, instructor/member spotlights, event content and community collaborations that make people want to engage with our studios.
We're not looking for overly polished corporate content. We want someone who understands what makes good social content feel human, current and engaging.
Lead Generation
Community marketing should ultimately create opportunities for people to experience Club Pilates. You'll help turn partnerships, events and social engagement into leads, Intro Class bookings and studio visits while working closely with our studio and sales teams.
Four-Studio Collaboration
You'll work across Mission Valley, La Mesa, North Park and Santee, learning each neighborhood and developing opportunities specific to each studio rather than using the exact same approach everywhere.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you're naturally outgoing, comfortable walking into a local business and starting a conversation, creative with social media, organized enough to manage multiple events and partnerships, and the kind of person who constantly notices opportunities.
Experience with social media, community marketing, events, hospitality, fitness/wellness, sales or content creation is helpful, but personality, initiative and creativity matter just as much to us.
You should be comfortable creating short-form video content and using tools such as Instagram and Canva. Basic video editing experience is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
We don't want someone posting just to say we posted.
Success means our studios become more visible in their communities. We're building meaningful local partnerships, consistently creating engaging content, participating in worthwhile events and generating new leads and studio visits from those efforts.
We'll track things like partnerships established, events and collaborations completed, content consistency and engagement, leads generated through community efforts, Intro Classes resulting from those leads, and ultimately new memberships influenced by community marketing.
Schedule
Approximately 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility based on studio needs, content opportunities and community events.
This role will require travel between our four San Diego-area studios and occasional evening or weekend availability for events.
Compensation
$24–$27/hour, depending on experience.
Complimentary Club Pilates classes included.
To Apply:
Please send us your resume along with a short introduction telling us why this role sounds like something you'd enjoy.
We'd also love to hear your ideas: Imagine you're responsible for getting Club Pilates North Park in front of 100 new local people next month without spending money on ads. What are 2–3 things you'd try?
If you have social media accounts, content, events, community partnerships, or other creative work you're proud of, we'd love to see examples.
