Khoury Law Group is seeking a motivated entry-level attorney to join our growing team. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience supporting our civil litigation, employment law, personal injury, and workers’ compensation practices. Newly licensed California attorneys are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
The associate attorney will work with our attorneys and staff to assist with case management, legal research, drafting, client communication, and litigation preparation while developing the skills to take on greater responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Assist with cases from intake and pre-litigation through resolution
• Research legal issues and prepare case evaluations
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Help prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial
• Attend court appearances and proceedings as assigned
• Communicate with clients regarding case progress and document requests
• Track deadlines and maintain accurate, timely billing entries
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to move cases forward efficiently
Qualifications
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Entry-level candidates welcome; no prior attorney experience required
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage competing deadlines
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and respond to feedback
• Prior law clerk, internship, or litigation-related experience is a plus
