The Outpost Cafe is looking for an experienced line cook for 32+ hours per week. Must have Saturday, Sunday, and Monday availability. You must have a minimum 3 years experience working at a high volume restaurant or cafe as a short order cook, and be able to cook both breakfast and dinner dishes (our full menu is available all day). Fast food is not qualified line experience for our restaurant. You must be able to grill meat/fish to temperature as well have experience cooking eggs/omelets.
Our ideal candidate is dependable, possesses a positive attitude, and is willing to take direction. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs, stand an entire shift, work with county sanitation standards, and have a food handlers card. You will have a set schedule every week.
Starting pay is $20-$22 per hour + plus tips (tips add an average of $3-$7 per hour depending on business, We Tip Pool).
Responsibilities
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Thoroughly clean up line at closing and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
