We are looking to fill up a position for our taco shop in Seaport Village with a set schedule.
Fri, Sat and Sun from 1:30pm-8p. We are looking for somebody that can be responsible, honest and doesn't have any outside matters on the weekends.
Process Transactions: Operate cash registers or digital point-of-sale (POS) systems to scan items, calculate totals, and process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, gift cards, or other payment methods
Handle Cash and Payments: Count cash, make change, reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer basic product questions, address inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate complex issues to supervisors
Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the register and surrounding area clean, organized, and free of clutter, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment
Inventory Support: Assist with restocking shelves, reporting low inventory, and participating in inventory counts as needed
Technical Competence: Be able to manually enter prices or calculate totals in case of system failures, and maintain knowledge of product codes, coupons, and store policies
Additional Responsibilities
Bagging and Packaging: Package customer purchases efficiently and carefully
Compliance: Follow company policies for cash handling, safety, and customer service
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of sales, refunds, and other transactions
Skills and Attributes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
Basic math and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
Problem-solving abilities to handle complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
