Staff Accountant - Full-Time Engagement Professional (FTEP)

About the Role
Robert Half's Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) practice is seeking a Staff Accountant with NetSuite or similar ERP experience to join our team. As a Full-Time Engagement Professional, you will be a full-time employee of Robert Half while supporting a variety of client organizations through project-based assignments and interim accounting engagements.
This role is ideal for accounting professionals who enjoy exposure to different industries, systems, and business challenges while maintaining the stability and benefits of full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and general ledger transactions.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts.
Analyze financial transactions and investigate variances.
Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
Maintain fixed asset schedules, prepaid expenses, and depreciation calculations.
Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cash Management functions as needed.
Participate in accounting clean-up projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
Assist internal and external audit requests.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Utilize NetSuite or similar ERP systems to support accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience.
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system including: Oracle, SAP, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday Financials
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to new environments, systems, and teams.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting experience.
CPA or CPA-track candidate.
Exposure to multi-entity or multi-location environments.
Experience supporting ERP implementations, conversions, or upgrades.
Experience within technology, SaaS, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing, or professional services organizations.

Target Candidate Profile
2-5+ years of Staff Accountant experience.
NetSuite or similar ERP experience.
Strong month-end close background.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Compensation Range: $75,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience, ERP expertise, and overall qualifications. This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, annual bonus programs, and comprehensive benefits.
